New Competitive Upgrade Pricing for Sage ERP Accpac with Microsoft SQL Server – $75/CAL

Friday, June 17th, 2011

Why is Sage selling a Microsoft product?  These days the tech industry is all about coopetition; a basic principle described in Game Theory by John Nash where competitive companies cooperate. “What is best for the group is best for an individual in the group”.

Microsoft SQL has become the database of choice for Sage ERP Accpac, and many other Sage products, as it is fast and efficient.  What more details?  Talk to our techy, programmer, IT Ninja Matt@Unisoft.net and he will chat your ear off for days about why this combination provides superior environment. Ask him about Accpac with Pervasive or just about any other DB and you might as well run for the hills. So what is the deal anyways…

Sage is reintroducing Sage ERP Accpac with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Runtime Edition (available for 32-Bit and 64-Bit) with a new competitive pricing model. This comes bundled with Sage ERP Accpac and its related applications and the capability is guaranteed.

Any of our Sage Accpac clients that would like to migrate from one of the competitive databases listed below is now able to for the low, low price of $75/CAL!

Any new client can purchase the bundled Microsoft SQL Runtime Edition for Sage ERP Accpac for $175 per user CAL. For customers with 30 or more users, the “Per Processor” license is more cost effective. Per Processor licensing is now $5,000.

This is a quick tip for Outlook users. If you have deleted items and then removed them from your deleted items folder in outlook there is a way to retrieve these items. All you have to do is locate the menu bar item named “Tools”, expand this and click “Recover Deleted Items…” and that is all. This only works for users using Excahgne 2003 and later versions with Outlook 2003 and later versions.  The number of days items are recovered from are set on your Exchange server.
